Eve Burton ’77 to speak at women’s leadership event

The senior vice president and general counsel of Hearst, Eve Burton, is a featured panelist’s at tonight’s event on women’s leadership at The College of Saint Rose in Albany, N.Y.

Burton, a 1977 graduate of The White Mountain School, is a member of Hearst’s board of directors and is a leader of HearstLab, which fosters innovation and investment in businesses led by women. She also sits on the board of directors at AOL and Intuit, Inc., and is an advisory board member of the David and Helen Gurley Brown Institute for Media and Innovation at Stanford and Columbia.

Hearst is one of the nation’s largest communications companies, with businesses in magazine and newspaper publishing, television production, TV and radio broadcasting, cable networks, internet businesses, business information and real estate.

Other speakers at the lecture include: Julie C. Seitz, global director of workplace strategy and operations at the Coca-Cola Company; Ellen Levine, editorial director for Hearst Magazines; and Dr. Carolyn J. Stefanco, the president of The College of Saint Rose.
