Last Thursday marked an important event on the calendars of members of the senior class. As of that date there were exactly 100 days left before Commencement. As we inch our way towards Spring Field Course and the March vacation, most here at school will say that they are ready for a break. But Associate Head of School Nate Snow’s recent announcement has seniors looking forward to even more. Seniors met with Nate this evening to talk about their role as leaders on campus during the spring months. They enjoyed a little celebratory cake, too!
What does this all mean? It means that there will be some intentional work by our seniors to stay focused and remain the integral part of the community that they are. It means finishing up their senior pages for the yearbook, participating in their last Field Courses, organizing their class gift, signing acceptance letters from colleges, enjoying their last Beach Day, prepping for prom, and beginning to think about the words of thanks they will share at their last “Pass the Book” the day before graduation. It also means more homework. Hang in there, Seniors!
Director of College Counseling Erik Bertelsen joined the meeting to share insight about the last few months of the college process and Director of Development & Alumnae/i Julie Yates introduced a special breakfast that our young alumnae/i trustees will hold to honor the seniors this spring.
