Students in Ted Teegarden’s Outdoor Education and Leadership course “learn the fundamentals of leadership development by practicing different styles of effective leadership and communication, conflict resolution, and individual and group development.” But the course also focuses on practical application, where students have the opportunity to put to use a variety of new teaching and facilitation methods with local children’s organizations. The Outdoor Education class recently hosted children from The Boys and Girls Club in Lisbon for an afternoon of team building and climbing on The White Mountain School’s 3,000-square-foot climbing wall.
