In the last week and a half WMS students and teachers have studied in eleven different locations throughout New England and the World.

Here are some highlights of their work:

-They learned about social work in the Dominican Republic, through our school counselor’s own foundation: www.thebateyfoundation.org.
-They studied winter ecology on the shoulder of Mount Washington.
-They gained leadership skills through a week-long high ropes program at The University of New Hampshire’s Browne Center.
-They learned how to live “green” and support sustainability efforts in Montreal with Eco Quartier.
-They moved not hundreds, but thousands, of pounds of produce for the Greater Boston Area Food Bank.
-They toured Paris and lived with host families in Nevers, France–where they also taught English lessons in a primary school.
-Like the great authors, Thoreau and Hawthorne, they studied writing in the wilderness.
-They learned about Buddhism at the Zen Studies Center.
-They learned the economics that play into “lost” ski resorts.
-They studied psychology and group interaction on a cross country skiing trip.
-And they learned about the business of the bicycle industry at Seven Cycles.

The incredible stories of their Field Courses experiences this spring are flooding in. Watch our new Field Course video here.
