Students and teachers canvassed local communities during our annual day of giving back.
There was weeding, wood-splitting, planting, mulching, organizing, play time with children, and even dock-building during Community Servcie Day 2014. Several groups did work at local parks and recreational areas by performing duties like a riverside clean-up, trail work, and landscaping. Other groups took to the gardens at Mount Sacred Heart Convent and our own WMS Farm to prepare beds for planting. WMS students and teachers also helped local organizations like The Rocks Estate, Franconia Children’s Center, Women’s Rural Entreprenurial Network (WREN), the Colonial Theater, Bretzfelder Memorial Park and Copper Cannon Camp.
Thank you to the entire community for making this event a huge success, to Jim Norton (Engish Faculty) for organizing the day, and to Union Bank for its sponsorship.
