Travel Season

Brad D'Arco, Director of Admission
When students start arriving on campus in the fall, the Admission Office gets ready to hit the road! Read on for news on this year’s travel season and the office’s continued efforts to find and meet the very best future WMS students, no matter how far away they may be.

Our school year will officially begin in just a few days, but the Admission Office has been busy over the course of the summer planning for the upcoming admission cycle. There are a multitude of projects that we tackle in the summer months, but the largest and most challenging task is planning our travel schedule for the fall.

We are committed to trying to create as diverse a student community as possible. The primary means by which we accomplish this goal is by traveling extensively throughout the United States and the world in order to meet qualified applicants face to face. Over the last two years, the school has seen a surge in inquiries and applications and as a result there is a greater demand for our admission team to travel to markets to connect with families who are interested in learning more about our great community.

The primary travel season for our admission office will begin in early September and conclude when the school breaks for winter recess in December. During that time we will make stops in every state in New England, and also make our way to Colorado, Chicago, Florida, Nevada, California, New York, New Jersey and Washington, DC. Beyond those domestic locations, we will also be heading to Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo, Seoul, Dubai, Kuwait City, Qatar, St. Lucia, Barbados, Jamaica and Mexico. For a complete list of our travel schedule with specific information about the events we will be attending, please check out the “Travel Section” on the admission page:

In addition to traveling to meet students, the fall is also a very busy time for us on campus as the vast majority of our applicants will visit the school prior to our application deadline on January 31st. One of the busiest days we have on campus each year is when we host our “Admission Open House.” This year, Open House will be held on Saturday, November 14th.
