The summer is heating up in the North Country. Read on for a full schedule of great local events!

The White Mountains of New Hampshire provide tons of activites to our students throughout the school year and the summertime is no different. For those of you who are lucky enough to be in the area this summer consider checking out the following great things to do:

The Sugar Hill, NH Lupine Festival is in full swing this month. Stop by “The Sampler” for a horse-drawn wagon ride through the lupine fields. Visit the Sugar Hill marketplace each weekend.

Littleton Farmer’s Market: The Littleton Farmer’s Market is now open on Sunday’s between 10 am – 1 pm along the river near The Littleton Senior Center on Riverglen Lane. Fresh produce, crafts, food and music.

The Mountain Washington Road Race “The Race to the Clouds”  The 54th annual “Run to the Clouds” will take place on June 21, 2014. The historic all-uphill run draws thousands of runners from across New England, throughout the U.S., and from countries as close as Canada and as far away as Kenya, to make the grueling climb to the summit of the highest peak in the Northeast.

MountainFilm Festival: Bretton Woods, NH: July 2nd. The festival brings filmmakers and enthusiasts from all over the world together to celebrate the things that make “mountain life” so unique. From extreme sports, to time honored traditions, environmental awareness and everything in between, Mountainfilm has something for everyone.

Friday Art Nights each 2nd Friday of the month in Littleton, NH: On July 11 and August 8, from 5-8 p.m., nearly 20 businesses throughout the downtown area will join together to celebrate the arts. From musical and performing arts to culinary and fiber arts and visits to Littleton’s many and varied art galleries, creativity, art and fun will be at the core of our second summer of 2nd Friday Art Nights.

Colonial Theater Benefit Golf Tournament: Bethlehem Country Club, Bethlehem, NH: July 13, 1pm

Bretton Woodstock: Summer Mountain Festival, July 19-20th. XC mountain biking race, downhill biking race, adventure run 5k, kids race, live music, beer garden, and vendor village

Sunrise Ascent of Mount Washington: Sunday, Aug. 3rd, 5am. Join a team and help Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country as they assist Adaptive Athletes in their ascent of Mount Wasington. Click the link above to learn more about this great event.
