This spring, WMS students are busy rehearsing for and dancing in a number of performances.
This weekend, WMS dancers will open The Creative Edge Dance Studio’s annual spring ballet. This year’s ballet is based on Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. The studio’s version of Alice In Wonderland opens on Friday, April 29th at 6pm at the Littleton Opera House. Performances continue on Saturday at 2pm and 6pm, and there is another matinee at 2pm on Sunday. Tickets are available at the door or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Creative Edge Dance Studio will hold its spring recitals on Friday, May 27th at 6pm and Saturday, May 27th at 2pm. This year’s recitals will be at Lisbon Regional School in Lisbon, New Hampshire. Please note the change of venue from last year.

For some, like accomplished dancer Tori Breen ’17, the spring has brought opportunities to share personal work, too. Tori and two other dancers (Grace Gaulin and Mikaela Kane) from the Creative Edge Dance Studio on campus, were invited to choreograph and perform a piece at Dance Benefit in New Rochelle, NY. They all worked on the choreography. Tori and Grace performed Sat. night. The dance, “Awulsul” was inspired by the December elections in Saudi Arabia. The girls wrote, “This December, women in Saudi Arabia voted for the first time. Imagining ourselves in their position, we were flooded with emotions ranging from resentment to ecstasy. Awusul (an Arabic translation of “Reaching”) is our movement interpretation of this experience: pain and hope in the quest for equality, the joy of success won, and the sadness and frustration of realizing the work that is left to be done.” Click the image below to see video of Tori’s dance.
