Three WMS artists traveled to Boston this weekend to participate in National Portfolio Day!
WMS students Lily Bennett ’14, Mandy Mu ’15, and Vanessa Zhou ’14 made the trip to Boston this Sunday to participate in National Portfolio Day. National Portfolio Day is a yearly event held all over the US where representatives from some of the best and most prestigious art schools in the country review the portfolios of hopeful young artists. The event is free and open to the public. There was a big crowd at the Hynes Institute that day, but our students had the opportunity to speak with representatives from such organizations as the Pratt Institute, the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, the Maine College of Art, the Rhode Island School of Design, and the San Francisco Art Institute. According to Kate Renner, Head of the Arts Department here at WMS, it was one of The White Mountain School’s best years for feedback and praise ever! We are so proud of the skill and creativity of our students and it is our hope that this opportunity will inspire them to continue creating amazing works of art.
